BMW M3 Competition
The all new G80 series BMW M3 Competition is a real marmite car; you either love it or you hate it! The looks have become so subjective, they’ve divided the motoring world in half. Some say it looks somewhat like a Beaver, others don’t mind the overly large trademark front grille. One thing we can say, however, is that when we install PPF on one, the looks always seem to grow on us - although that could be down to removing the front numberplate, which in our opinion, really does clean up the way the front end looks.

Looks aside however, and the M3 Competition is every bit as good as you could imagine. BMW still proclaim they produce the ‘ultimate driving machine’, in which case it’s little wonder we have seen a couple of these through our workshop now. Each of them opting for some front-end paint protection film (PPF) twined with a ceramic coating for the rest of the bodywork.
Protecting your paintwork is paramount on a high-performance vehicle, where preserving the paints originality is a major factor at the time of re-sale, and there is no better way to do it than fitting PPF. Typically just the most vulnerable and high wear areas are covered, although it’s becoming more and more common to protect the whole car with film, particularly if a ‘special’ colour has been chosen where a none-factory re-paint is not only costly, but also unlikely to look the same as the original paint.
Once PPF is fully installed it is near invisible - the best protection you’ll never see, and because it doesn’t alter the way your car looks it’s the ideal product to retain the originality of the paint by preventing stone chips, bug etching, road rash, and other minor abrasions. In addition to this, we use the very latest film technology which has ceramic coating layer manufactured into the film! Gone are the days of installing film and then having to coat it afterwards - ideal when full coverage isn’t an option, as the rest of the bodywork can simply be protected by one of the ceramic coatings we currently offer; with no difference in the way the car needs to be cleaned and maintained - with this new film (SunTek Reaction), you simply wash the car as you would normally without the need for specialist PPF cleaning products.
